Advice from those who know better

Bill, Joe and Eddie like to give advice. Especially to Women. Their ‘Woman Talk’ segments on WHEB-FM proved so popular we did them for several years, had them syndicated on the comedy nets, and eventually did a video version for BENT! that has been hidden all these years. Until now. You are either very lucky or unlucky. Aside – we did 11 of these in one sitting at the Needham Studios in the early 90’s… a handful of friends helped us crew, with my wife running the prompter for us…                 I don’t believe we were married at the time we started the show, but we were all hitched by the time the series ended a few years later.  Some people thought the genesis was a 1976 SNL skit with Dan Ackroyd with the same title. The concept is similar, but I thought we had come up with the idea ourselves and looking at it later,  thought we took it in a different direction. We also ended up producing over 40 radio segments – so I say there’s something original in there. Greg Kretschmar from WHEB played Eddie with us… quite the performer and we had a lot of fun working with him over the years. He’s still doing radio in NH at our old station.

And of course, there’s a bit of Tim Allen in there as well.

Not a wholesale lift, but a bit of the same attitude. Ah, hell, all art is theft. I don’t know who said that, but I’m stealing it.
